Frequently asked questions

Do these monitors need WiFi or an app?

No, and that is the selling point. Camera and handheld pair over a closed 2.4 GHz FHSS radio link before they leave the factory. There is no app, no account and no cloud; the video exists only between the two devices in your house.

How far does the signal reach?

The manufacturer rates the link at up to 1,000 feet with a clear line of sight. Indoors, walls cut that down; owners of the portable OD8021 report roughly 165 feet through a typical house, and the bigger kits behave similarly. For a normal home or yard that is comfortable headroom.

Can I add cameras later?

Yes. The OD8052 and OD8060 monitors each handle up to four cameras, and extra cameras pair to a monitor you already own. That is why the one-camera kit is a safe starting point: growing the system later costs less than buying a second full kit.

How long does the monitor battery really last?

Two numbers matter. With the screen always on, expect about 16 hours on the 5-inch and 16 to 18 on the 6-inch. In ECO or VOX mode, where the display sleeps until sound wakes it, both stretch to roughly 30 hours. The cameras themselves stay plugged into the wall.

Does the crib mount fit other brands?

The clamp mount is built for the OKAIDI OD8052 and OD8060 cameras, and reviewers confirm it also takes HelloBaby cameras with the same thread. If your camera is from another brand, check the thread before ordering.

Is there a temperature alarm?

The OD8052 and OD8060 cameras carry a temperature sensor and the handheld shows the reading on screen. Treat it as a guide for dressing the room, not as a certified thermometer; it is not a medical device.

Where does the purchase actually happen?

On the retailer’s official listing. Every button on this site opens the listing in a new tab; your cart, payment, delivery and returns all live there. We are a catalog and never handle orders ourselves.

Are the prices on this site live?

They are pulled from the retailer’s data feed and refreshed regularly, but a listing can change price between refreshes. The price shown at checkout is always the one that applies, which is also why the buttons say “see current price.”
